About this print:

I chose the Porsche 912 Blackbird because I know its owner personally. He lives in Lyon. Together with him and a very talented photographer, we drove through the surrounding countryside and made many beautiful photographs. But everything felt expected. And the heat made it hard to work. I sketched while sweat dripped onto the paper and ran down my back. 38 degrees. It was hot.

On the way back - late evening, driving toward Munich through Switzerland - I noticed something through the window. A vast, warm, glowing cloud. It followed me the entire evening. I couldn't look away.

That was the moment I understood who would accompany the Blackbird along the vineyards.

That is how Fantasy 008 was born.
