A technique that would carry not just line and tone, but texture — something you could almost feel with your hands. Wax and charcoal turned out to be that answer. Born in fire, this is my first work in the medium, and the surface has a presence and volume that the Speed series simply cannot reach.

The subject is a Porsche 911 930 Turbo on a forest road — chosen in the classic spirit of the Speed collection. Forest rides demand a different kind of focus. Speed between trees is intimate and violent at once, and I wanted to understand that better through the work.

This piece marks the beginning of something new.
